How will participants be judged?
Participants will be judged based on the financial feasibility of the project, the rigor of the analysis and their ability to persuade the judges to invest in the project. The judging panel will be composed of prominent industry leaders who are deal decision makers and/or investors. The representation may include but not be limited to brokers, hotel brand leaders, hotel management companies, asset managers, private equity firms, lending organizations, and attorneys. A preliminary round of judging will occur through an online platform the month prior to the live event.
This preliminary judging will select the top four to five teams to advance to the in-person final competition round. All of the teams are invited to attend, however, only the finalists will be required to travel to Washington, DC to present live, before the panel of judges. The participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.
