Any woman who is interested in hotel ownership or real estate development who is at least 18 years of age. We have two tracks:

- Early Careerist - candidates must be a student or recent graduate within 3 years post-graduation (2018-2022).

- Today’s Woman - designed for the seasoned professional who wants to become a Sponsor of hotel investments or is new to sponsorship. Candidates can be at any stage in their career; however, they must have the werewithal and resources to close a hotel deal "today".

Interested persons should complete the applicable application and pay the respective fee no later than August 22nd, 2021. Qualified applicants will be invited for an interview virtually or in person. Acceptance into the programs will be rolliing. Application fees are non refundable; however, if you are not accepted your application fee will be refunded. Acceptance will be communicated within 14 business days following the interview.

Candidates for each track is based on meeting the respective criteria, commitment to completing the program and demonstrated interest in becoming a hotel owner and developer.

For Today's Woman, candidates need to complete an assessment during the interview and demonstrate their werewiithal and resources required to close a hotel deal.

The early careerist track is for women who are interested in hotel ownership and development and would like to begin exploring the possibilities. She is just beginning her career and does not have the business experience or resources to sponsor a hotel investment project today.

Today’s Woman knows that hotel ownership and development is for her. She would like to lead hotel investment projects and sponsor her first deal; however, she needs additional support and resources to maximize her success. Or she currently owns a hotel(s) but has never sponsored a deal and would like to grow her existing portfolio of hotel investments.

The application fee for the Early Careerist Track is $400 and for Today’s Woman Track is $1,500. For both tracks, participants are responsible for their own accomodations and travel to Washington, DC to attend the event in April 2022.

The application fee includes access to the online self study masterclass and resources for 12 months; live virtual education sessions with luminaries; a VIP All Access Pass to the 2022 Pitch Competition and Awards Luncheon; and the exclusive SHaD Swag Bag. Additionally, candidates forToday’s Woman have access to professionals and may receive discounted and pro bono professional resources provided during masterclasses to support closing their hotel deals.

Candidates for Today's Woman are expected to have the werewithal and access to financial resources to close their hotel deals, which will require at-risk capital (such as security deposits, legal fees, property inspections, underwriting fees, franchise application fees, etc.) as well as equity. This amount will vary by deal.
